Oriental Spareribs

  • 4 lbs. ribs
  • 1/2 cup chopped onion
  • 1/2 cup chopped green pepper
  • 2 tbsp. butter
  • 2 tbsp. cornstarch
  • 2 tbsp. brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup Ale-8-One
  • 1 tbsp. soy sauce
  • 1 can pineapple chunks and syrup

Bake ribs at 400 degrees for 20 minutes. Meanwhile cook the onion and pepper in butter until tender; remove from heat and add cornstarch, brown sugar and mix well before adding the Ale-8-One and soy sauce. Cook, stirring constantly for two minutes. Remove excess fat from roasting pan, and pour the sauce over the spareribs. Add pineapple and syrup. Reduce heat to 315 degrees and continue baking for an hour and a half until the meat is well browned and tender.
